honda is slow on everything...lol..i'm sure they will start putting the diff loc in the 4 wheelers sooner or later..the way i see it..as long as i dont have to push any buttons that are controling any elec stuff..i won't worry about it..this is why i like older bikes..they don't have all these elec sensors..buttons to push to change gears...give me old school bikes any day !..lol.

I don't like the electric shift, but I do like the push button 4X4 and diff lock, because it saves fuel and it's less strain on your axles and front diff and they drive better in 2 wheel drive. The push button 4X4 and diff lock seems to be pretty dependable, because the only time I have seen one mess up is when the battery was bad. The electric shift, though, is a different story. Everybody that I know that has electric shift is always having problems. I know a guy that bought one of those 420 ranchers with electric shift and he had it about 6 days and it messed up and hung in gear and wouldn't change.

i agree !!..i won't take a brand new elec shift right off the show room floor even if they gave it to me for free !!!..wayyyyy to many problems from them...and i don't evennnnn wanna think of what they would charge you to fix it at the dealer..lol.
