I can take a picture in about 2 hrs, but the air circut valve yall spoke was not installed on the new pos china carb. The necessary provisions were not made on the new carb.

I don't have my '03 trx450fm sitting right next to me ?, and it's 20 degree's outside ?. not gonna go out back to look at my carb on it !..lol. I wanted to see if your old carb has the air vacuum thing on the side of it ?, if it does ?, then this cause problems trying to run a china carb on it, that this is, if its not on it ?. if your old carb has this on it ?, then you need to send that china carb back, get your money back, AND NEVER BUY CHINA CRAP AGAIN FOR ATVS !..LOL. if I were you ?, I would purchase a carb rebuild kit, shindy is a very good rebuild kit !!, or moose carb kit is good too, but I like shindy best. there is a sticky in the repair section from me, on how to clean a carb, please read it !!!.

I did adjust the pilot screw you speak of on the forward bottom side of the carb. No difference.

I tried another cdi (used oem off ebay) slim chance both bikes had bad cdi boxes. Heres more pics of original carb. The carb was a derect fit and everything was identical besides the air circuit tubes with the Y that were previously mentioned. Unless this is a vital system for the engine to run then I feel the carb I bought is good. I may be wrong. Everything else on the carb is direct fit. Im so confused as to what is wrong with this thing. I bought the fourwheeler 9 years ago and it was a pos but never let me down until now.
If yall think its the carb then ill clean and swap it, otherwise what else could it be?

why isn't the air cut-off tube connected to the carb's throat at the intake side ?.

ok, I just looked at my carb, and that pic of your old carb ?, THAT IS NOT A TRX450FM CARB !. for one, the fuel inlet is not facing the correct way ?, it should be facing forward !. second, I see no nipple for the air cut-off at the intake side on your old carb ?, it goes from the plastic piece to the nipple on top of the throat side towards the intake.
