check ur stator every one i ever worked on put out 16 volts u have to unplug it before the rectifier to do the test let me know what u get from there and give it a couple days we all here will narrow it down change ur oil and look for water dont quit on us this aint a suzuki forum lol

i hate to see you take it to a dealer it can get costly fast start ohming stuff and let us know what you get so we have a clue if you dont know how we'll try to be in depth of how to do it but you have to keep us informed to get this problem isolated

Even though I'm new to ATV's, I have worked on vehicles all the time, and the rule of thumb (not saying you didn't do this), but the rule when I cleaned car engines is that IMMEDIATELY after you are done cleaning, you fire up the engine and let her run until she's dry.
Good Luck, what I would suggest is downloading the service manual. It will tell you all the tests and easily worth the $5 or so dollars that the people charge for them. Here is a link to some of the manuals. I can't find an 07, but I did find an 06 680 at this link.

I will reply again if I can find all the 07, because that's what you should really have.
UPDATE: Found the 07 680 Here. I bought the Ride Red for the TRX450EX from this guy. I can email you a copy if you want to see what all is in the .pdf. Just shoot me an email back on the email I sent you on craigslist.

Alrighty fella's, It's 1123 on this another white tuesday in NC and I'm heading out to work on the Rincon 680 again. I'm going to test the stator and other connectors and see if I can Keep what's left of my hair in my head! I also did download the manual for my machine.

whats really sad here ppl..is most of the time..after we pull all our hair out..say words thats never been in the book !! ( yes..i've invented a few )..it's always something soooo damn simple we over look. ( been there soooo many times )..we look back..and laugh about it.,,let us know what you find out on this problem. my money is on a loose connection.

same year same quad
two days ago mine did same thing,going over all this stuff and cant find out whats wrong . pulling my hair out trying to figure this one out, if u get this anytime soon let me know what was wrong with yours,thx

I feel your pain
I also have a 07 Rincon
seems like there is a lot of starting problems when it comes to rincons in the winter.
I have had nothing but problems starting my machine in our winters. Tried new battery, new plug, lighter oil, even an "inline engine coolant heater" which warms the coolant in the bypass hose going into the motor similar to a block heater.
Everytime i try starting it it will turn over for a little bit without firing until the EFI light comes on and cuts out the starter then it wont let you start it until the light goes off. Then the same thing happens.
Funny thing is it starts great in the summer just when it goes below zero it wont start worth s**t.
Is your EFI light coming on when you are cranking it over?
Have you tried starting it when its warm in a heated garage?
