Initial settings are:

90 main jet
35 pilot jet
needle clip on 3rd groove
a/f screw 2 turns out
idle around 1400

I've owned many Hondas over the years, with 2, 3 and 4 wheels.
Currently only have a 1979 ATC 110

Hey guys, just joined up after finding this thread.
I am working on an 84' trx 200 for my neighbor who said it was fouling plugs.
I've gone through it twice now with chemdip and carb cleaner, set everything back as stated above and it still runs terrible rich.
I even tried to run the fuel screw in all the way and idle it up but still rich. Everything is stock and has the correct pilot jet and it will rev up just fine but the idle won't lean out. any help is much appreciated.

Messed with it some more and pulled the plug. It is sooty black, not oily, just rich sooty black.
Can a carb just get wore out and go that bad?
