Recon Oil Filter
Just got a used 250, manual hasn't come in yet. Where is the oil filter located in the engine? This is my third Honda and haven't had any trouble finding the other models filter covers but I'm stumped on this one. Thanks,Mike

my 91 250X is located behind a cover on the right sied of the engine. there are 3 10mm bolts holding it in.

Thanks, mine is a 2005 Recon and doesn't have the same as yours. I think they hid it so you would have to take it to a dealer!

GOOD NEWS!!! there is no oil filter on those models it's the exact same engine as the 250ex I called my buddy who has one. you just change it in sooner intervals than one with a filter

You could mount it on the handlebars to collect dust samples or various places you ride? LOL
