Replace CDI unit in 1985 Honda Big Red (250ES)

Hi,

I currently have a CDI unit with two plug sockets and six wires (that is, it is the 1986 model). The CDI for the 1985 250ES model has one plug socket with six wires. How can I find out which wires on the 1985 CDI would go to the CDI with two plug sockets? The wire colours are the same for both units and the 1985 CDI unit is no longer available (which is why I am trying to adapt the 1986 CDI in my 1985 Honda). Is there an adapter out there, perhaps? The only other option seems to be a whole new wiring harness which is something I'd rather not try unless I could get a really good price. Any ideas would be welcome.

Thank you in advance!
