Rancher Transmission?

Just got my 05 Rancher back with the top end rebuilt and new clutches. Now it seems like the it's kind of lagging, yesterday I had to pull a zero turn out of a small ditch and it basically would only idle real high and finally spun the wheels. I also did some work at the hunting camp last weekend and I hunt in some hilly terrain, the whole time it seemed like it was trying to find the right gear. I shifted from 1st to 2nd and it would kind of "jump" a couple times... my guess is transmission... what do yall think?

Honda724: I wonder what kind of oil you have in your engine/transmission??
The symptom you describe is similar to that which happens if you use regular automotive oil in your engine/transmission.

You shouldn't use automotive oil because it will cause your clutch to slip. Instead, only use motorcycle/atv oil which is formulated for a wet clutch. Synthetic motorcycle oil works great.

I would first check these two simple things.

Check your oil level
Adjust the clutch

Report back if those come back inconclusive

Well kent, my mechanic has been slacking lately but surely he knows cause all hed ever use was strictly honda oils in the hondas... Ill change it later if I can find time to go get another filter.
Manny, I usually check my oil before every ride and yesterday it looked good. Im somewhat mechanically minded but he did put the new clutches in and I took it back to see if they were right... he claimed they were.

I don't plan on using this guy much more I've used him for many years and he's done good work, I think he's just getting in a rush trying to get all the other bikes in as well.
