1998 Honda trx 250

I found a 98 trx250 on Craigslist for $350!! The owner claims that all it needs is a rear end drive pinion?? How big of a deal is that problem to fix. I am familiar with pinions just not pinions in quads! I am considering buying it but I wanted to get some opinions first. Any info would be appreciated

Its not hard to get the axle out and unbolt case. I don't know about replacing pinion gear, but you can look at or download the service manual in the schematics and manuals section. The manual will show/tell you how to go about it.
It sounds like a good deal if the owner is being straight. You should still be able to hear engine and check out the rest of the bike
