2002 recon will not go into reverse all the time

My Honda Recon 250 ES will not go into reverse all the time I push the red button down and pull the break back and sometimes it will and sometime it want I replaced the angle sensor for the forward gears but can't figure out this reverse the down push button works good for the forward gears is their something on the back of the motor where the cable goes ?

Have you tried adjusting the reverse lockout cable yet?? Follow the cable to where it enters the engine,loosen the locking nut,screw the cable outwards a few turns,then lock the nut back down...Should alleviate your hard to get into reverse problem...

If adjusting the reverse cable doesn't help, check your reverse shift switch on the rear of the engine. It could be going bad or the wire might have a bad connection where it attaches to the shift switch.

Most 4-wheeler problems are caused by a loose nut connecting the handlebars and the seat!!

You only need two tools in life -- WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.
