honda trx 420

I changed the oil and when i filled it up it was completely full up to the rim of fill tube is this correct? it calls for 3.8 qts but it seems like to much

No you will to siphon oil out until it read right on the dip stick.

Welcome to the forums from OK. On an oil change with filter, its 3 quarts, not 3.8. It is overfilled, just syphon some out and good to go.

Unless it's the auto tranny model. The auto tranny model holds 3.8 quarts. But yeah, it's overfilled if it's all the way to the top.

Most 4-wheeler problems are caused by a loose nut connecting the handlebars and the seat!!

You only need two tools in life -- WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

Most 4-wheeler problems are caused by a loose nut connecting the handlebars and the seat!!

You only need two tools in life -- WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

oil capacity

i have the trx that can either run ib AUTO or manual without a clutch, manual says 3.8 and i put most of the gallon in so i guess i will drain a little out

Ok yeah that would be overfilled. I forget about the AT sometimes and that they are different specs.
