I don't think it would be a very good idea due to the steering would be extremely hard.

You can install a detroit gearless locker and that will give you the full diff lock that you want.....what would make it even better is if you had a warn 4-2-4 installed....that way you could have full time diff lock but you wouldnt be struggling to steer the bear all the time in 4wd

X2 on what Manny said above...Believe it or not, having a locker in the front doesn't really make the steering much,if any harder as the tires only have a minimal contact patch on the ground, and the only time I ever had more steering effort required was in deep ruts, and deep mud, against a rock,or in a washout which required extra effort anyhoo due to the large tires, and resistance of the mud, rocks, dirt, and ruts...Having a locker in the front axle will cause the vehicle to want to travel straight forward rather than turning though, and will require a much larger turning area,or turning radius as the bottoms of the tires turn at the exact same speed regardless of the traction on the either side...Must be why no manufacturer installs a full time locker in front...Hence the diff lock buttons, and switches on other brands...High Lifter makes a 40 buck front full time locker which is two toothed shims that fully ,and permanently lock the front axles together to the diff, and is only recommended for full bore mud machines...Pulling/modulating the front brakes just enough to cause the free spinning tire on an open diff,or limited slip like Hondas will get you as far as a locker will when it forces the free spinning tire to slow down, and the diff to apply power to the one with traction as long as one doesn't pull the brake lever too hard....

He wouldn't need a Warn 4-2-4 because the '02-up Foreman has selectable 2wd/4wd.

You only need two tools in life -- WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.
