Is it leaking from the hose at the petcock where you turn the gas on and off? Is the hose cracked? Is it the right size hose?

- if it's ur overflow tube then turn off the gas at the petcock. then go into your carb and clean it, sounds like a sticky float.

- if your petcock valve is leaking, drain all of the gas out of the tank, remove the petcock and clean, you should also inspect the rubber seals bc they may need to be replaced if your leaking around the petcock.

- inspect your fuel lines for crack or leaks. replace if necessary

just read your other post and you said you soaked the petcock in carb cleaner. I'm assuming you did this without removing the rubber seals and they were ruined by this. You need to remove anything rubber before soaking with carb cleaner

If its coming from the overflow tube on your carb I would say your float is sticking or is bad. You might want to try cleaning the bowl out. It could also be the bowl gasket leaking and its running down the outside of the overflow tube. That's what mine was doing. I replaced the bowl gasket and it stopped.

I would replace the float and the needle valve. I would say the float has a hole in it or the needle valve is worn, crusty, or pitted. I would also replace that clamp and the tube on the overflow. Use a regular hose clamp. The clamp that's on there is probably why the gas is running down the outside of the tube.

This doesn't mean that you got everything out

You also need to know exactly where the gas is coming from to properly diagnose the problem. Remove the overflow tube and make sure it's not blocked up. See if the gas is coming out of the overflow or like CR said between the bowl gasket and just dripping down to the hose. And as I said before don't use carb cleaner without removing all of the rubber gaskets/seals
