quick pilot screw question

came across an 86 250 es big red, been sitting in a field for 10 or so years....got it running, but still has issues

schematics on pilot screw show oring, washer, spring, pilot screw...dont remember a washer coming out when i started rebuild..anyway..does oring go in first, then washer, then spring?..that would make sense to me, but I'm a newb......

Welcome to the forums. Slide the spring on the pilot screw, then the washer and the o-ring goes on last, next to the tip of the pilot screw.

The o-ring, washer, and spring go on just like shown in this illustration.

This is why I use the search feature. Was having trouble with Idle on my 1993 trx 300 and I just found out why.
Pilot screw assembly is wrong.I will have to see if washer is stuck in hole or have to order a kit. Thanks Helmut for the diagram,
it was exactly what I needed. This is the best forum I have ever been a part of. All of you guys are a Godsend,Thanks for all the
redundant questions of ours that you answer.

AMEN! I've searched and been a member of some other forums but got no answers as quickly (and turned out to be accurate) as I have here.

I add my thanks also.
