Question 2007 Rincon Error Codes...

I finally decided to join the site, I've been reading for a couple of years but have just never joined. I have an 07 Rincon that I finally had my first trouble with... Started it up and went to put it in gear but it wouldn't show going in to gear, the gear indicator on the display went blank and the Reverse light came on. The flashes on the (--) display were 4 long ones and one short one... From what I have read on here, that means code 41 ?

Could someone tell me what that code is ? I have two four wheelers (07 Rincon & Rancher) that all of the sudden have maintenance issues at the same time and after being ridden last week with no issues and not touched for a week and they are both tore up... So I am curious if they may have been tampered with and what that code possibly is. Both of these ATV's have a yearly service done at an Authorized dealer and taken care of pretty well although they do sit outside. I just think it's weird that both of them have problems at the same time... Thanks for any help that you might give...

Welcome to the forums. I wish I could help, but I don't have the Rincon 680 service manual and I don't have the codes. Maybe someone that has the Rincon 680 service manual will post the codes for you.

I have a Rincon 650 service manual, but the 650 is carbed and the 680 is fuel injected, so the codes won't be the same.

Most 4-wheeler problems are caused by a loose nut connecting the handlebars and the seat!!

You only need two tools in life -- WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

I don't know what all changed between 2006-2007, the manuals they have now cover 2006-2009, but don't know if they say "07 and later" inside the manual.

Anyway, here is the 2006 TRX680 Manual.

RapidShare AG, Cham, Switzerland

I believe you want to skip down to Section 14 - Drivetrain

4-1 says

A/T clutch pressure control solenoid
valve Low input
• Loose or poor contact of the A/T
clutch pressure control solenoid
valve related connector
• A/T clutch pressure control solenoid
valve or its circuit malfunction

Awesome... Thank you very much, I appreciate it...

I am not totally sure where that solenoid is located, do you believe it is in a tamper proof place or is it easily accessible possibly ?

Sorry I missed it, the manual link that I posted will tell you everything you want to know about the 2006. As I said, I don't know if it will match yours 100% because I don't know what changed from 2006-2007. Download the manual I posted for 2006, or go to tradebit and download the 2007 model.

Either way, they will tell you how to troubleshoot it. Grab a multimeter and pull the connectors it tells you to. It's really quite simple. It could just be a loose connector or need cleaning and push back on!
