2012 honda trx500 performance

i just bought a 2012 honda foreman, i was wondering if there is any performance parts engine wise besides intake and exhaust?

i seen that highlifter is selling a programmer chip.

does it not have enough power for ya???

I'll be looking at building BBK's and cam for it and the 420's. I'm going to order some parts in from Honda next week to see how big I can go for sure.

Just found out the 500 is just a big bore 420 and It looks like that will be max for the 500 at 92mm piston.

I had a good idea that was the case with the new Foreman 500 engine, with a slightly bigger injector as well.

is that y they just left the new foreman at 475cc instead of bumping it up to a 499cc or better yet, a 500cc. lol

The way it looks right now is most of my R&D will be in the cam and heads on both.The 500 will get a little higher compression to help run the bigger cam,and with the 420 I will just offer the 475cc 92mm piston piston with the higher compression and cam to match. The you will just buy a 500 cylinder and head gasket to go with my piston. After that head work and maybe big valves so you can take advantage of the 500's 36mm throttle body over the 420's 34mm.

Yes the 475 is as big as you can go without welding up the water jackets and moving them out. I would do that if it had 4 valves.

so let me get this right ! on the new 2012 foreman 500 if you score the cylinder you cant bore it up to the next size piston ? what do you do just order a new jug ? im not a engin mechinest but to me that doesnt sound right . if this is true honda realy screwed up !

well its plenty power now but im planning on getting bigger tires lower gearing and ive already noticed the difference from 1in. bigger tire
