Welcome to the forums. We have a link to a free down load for the 400EX. The 400 is a great quad.

Introduction

Appreciate the welcome. I had a 2001 400ex brand new in 2001 that was yellow and black, rode it for 3 years then let it go. Just picked up this 2001 400ex 6 months ago, here is what i know it has so far:

440 Wiseco Big Bore kit (Not a fan of)
had a K&N filter (Changed to a UNI foam filter)
Aftermarket Bearing carrier (Rearend)
Tag handle bar
Tusk front bumper

A lot of wear and tear on this one. Just needs some TLC though. Any thoughts from you fellow 400ex riders on the Big Bore kit? I personally am considering getting a stock head and putting a wiseco piston in it, then getting a Hot Cam to go with it.

Thanks,

Brandon

You may be good to go with the 440 if you have a set of hardened head bolts. The stock can stretch some and cause it to blow a head gasket.
