My chain on 2007 trx300ex keeps falling off, why?
one day i pulled my brother on a sled to my quad and then heard a loud noise. the next day, i saw the chain was very loose and the pinch bolts were loose so i tightened both things and i went riding in the woods on rocky terrain and it just kept on falling off. The thing that ajust the tightnest would sometimes loosen or the chian would just normally fall off. i heard i eighter need new bearings or new sprockets and chain. Also, can you list some tests i can do to see which i would need to do.

Look at the sprocket to see how the teeth look. If they are rounded off its more than likely worn out. Welcome to the forums

Welcome to the forums.

You only need two tools in life -- WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

welcome. jack up the rear of the atv. with the wheels off the ground try to move the axle and feel for play in the bearings. also, make sure the carrier is all the way in the swingarm, if it's not seated all the way against the swingarm your sprockets will not be lined up and cause the chain to come off.

also, check the swingarm bearings, where the swingarm connects to the frame.

yes welcome to the forums. i am with mudd99. it is amazing how sesative the sprock gears are on every thing. a rounded off sprockets gear is critical. its just as important as any micro play in a berring asemblys.
