How do you mean? Like feel wise or actual power? I remember going through and giant puddle on my Blaster a couple times and ended up flooding the carb and couldn't get it to crank for two weeks

The power is delivered differently.A blaster has a power band that kicks in at say 4000 rpm while a 400ex has a power band that is always in.Two strokes just pull differently.

Ah, didn't know they were always on on a 4-stroke. I do remember that power band kicking in though . I talked to a guy at the yamaha/honda dealer today and he has one new 400ex and they have a special on it right now for $4,300. It's so much, plus I don't have a job. I'm turning in my application for the Y today, but that's only for the summer. I'm going to try Zaxbys too, but I'm not sure about my luck. I might go visit a couple places tonight to get some more applications. Should head over to the dealership this weekend though with my parents, seeing as you have to be 19 to buy a quad, to talk to the guy about what can be done about payment plans, ect.

Yeah that's the problem. At 3 years with a $300 down payment, I'm still looking at ~$112 a month. For three years! I could actually knock a bunch of that out this summer if I put everything I earn into it, which I am prepared to do. I don't really have much else to spend it on except a couple things for my car. If I make 2k this summer it goes down to $55 a month, which is much better.

But here is my plan.

First get a job a soon as possible. Once summer comes up work at the Y as a lifeguard if I can. If I can't I'll just stick with the job I have. If I can work at the Y, pay for as much of the quad as I can, while I can. So if I accept the summer job, I need to find a job that will hire me once summer is out if my old job won't take me back.

Kinda far out there, but maybe not so much. The only thing is the summer job. It would pay for so much of the quad and really help.

Turned in my application for the Y. Picked up one from Moes and gonna do another one online for Nestle Toll House. Zaxbys didn't have any but they said go to the other store and get one, probably gonna get one for Brusters while I'm there.

I would go with a 400ex you can pick a good one up for $2500 but if you are set on a 300 it would have more than enough power I have a 250 and it rips.
