Tightening the chain?

How do I tighten my quads chain?

My guess is that I loosen the two allen wrench head bolts on the back side of the axle in the center and use a bar in the grooves on the axle to tighten, by cranking on it. Is this 100% correct?

I'm not sure on the 250x, but yeah it sounds like you have to rotate the axle carrier to tighten chain. Does your axle go through carrier off of center?
