Trx400x info

Iam about to by a new 2012 trx400x and just wanted to know if they overheat because I ride a lot and do not want my wheeler overheating on me. I know Hondas super reliable so I'm not to worried about it just wanted to know if anyone's ever had problems with them over heating

No, never had any problems out of my 08’ however, the stock 400’s do get hot and start to loose power after a lot of riding, you can reduce this problem by re-jetting the quad with a 155 main jet (if you leave her stock). I put a slip on pipe, open air box and a jet kit and my quad never overheats now. They will get hot if your riding really slow, 1st or 2nd gear since they are air cooled but never anything detrimental. The 400ex has a bullet proof motor! Feel free to ask me any performance or general questions!

Last summer I was constantly heading back for some shade and a cool drink. But the quad was fine!

Welcome to the forums.

You only need two tools in life -- WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

I have a 150. Only glows at an idle. Need to adjust it down and maybe a lil more fuel. I think it's common for the Curtis sparks to do that. Couldn't find much more out

If your running a full exhaust system your running way lean! You need like a 190 main keihin jet. Are you runing any other mods. Also does your quad ever pop or backfire?

Curtis spark calls for I think a 160 jet with a UNI filter. That's all I got except I do have a standard bore 11:1 piston just installed
