Need hitch extender of some sort, any rec's?

Hey y'all, new to the forums and did a search but didn't come up with many options for a hitch extension.
Here's what I'm looking for:
Have a 2012 RancherFPM and just bought the Fuse hitch receiver. Pulling a small cargo trailer that comes up short because of my drop down basket. I think that it will still be short (by maybe 10-12") after I install Fuse hitch receiver. Any ideas for a setup or an extension of some sort?

I will have a better idea of measurements and how much I need once I get the fuse hitch receiver and install it. Just wanted to see if anyone has a solution so I can get an order underway. Thanks

How much waight di you put on the trailer and how much tounge waight? You could get a peace of 2*2*¼ squair tube and drill ⅝ hole in one end and weld a 2" recever to other end to extend it out. Or if you dont haul any thing real heavy you could get the cheep recevor that bolts to truck bumper and bolt to the bottom of your basket and put a peace of plate inside it to stringthen it up

Extend the trailer tongue.

You won't want to put an extension on the trailer hitch of your ATV. That is an accident waiting to happen. If too much tongue weight with an extension on your ATV, you won't be able to steer! (front wheels will become "unloaded" like you are doing a wheelie!). It wouldn't take much to make this happen. Obvously, if you are only using a very lightweight trailer, then this won't be an issue, but I'd still modify the trailer instead.

I would make an extension for the tongue of the trailer instead.

Thanks for the ideas guys, seems like I should be able to get it connected by fabbing something up as long as it's not too heavy duty (heavy steel). I am still waiting for my fuse receiver to arrive (ordered 11/15). Once I get it I'll snap a pic and show you what I got. For now I'm just using a section of an old bed frame which works for lightweight but looks pretty ghetto...

A standard 2" drawbar with a ball on it when inserted into the receiver hitch should extend outwards from the receiver prolly close to 8-12" so you shouldn't need any extension...

Here's the dump cart pin hitch, Is there an adapter for a 2" ball? Or a receiver/draw bar with an extension for a pin hitch. If so, could someone send me a link? I received and installed the fuse hitch but have not purchased the receiver ball insert. I have a drop down basket (Kolpin) which is making things difficult. As you can see I'm a newbie and don't know jack about hitch attachments.
And disregard the ghetto bed frame, only a temporary fix

Thanks DITB. For some reason my reply didn't go through. I will connect the the standard drawbar but is there a way to convert that pin hitch setup (on the dump cart) to a ball hitch setup? I don't know if you can tell my looking at the pic above. Thanks again

I use a d shackle reversed through the ball hole in mine, works fine, plus allows tons of twisting ,or articulation movement when off roading on rough trails...You can also take a standard receiver drawbar, and weld a 2"x 2" piece of flat bar to the end of it,with a 3/4",or so hole through it to be able to use the ball,or hitch pin either one without having to remove,or install the ball...

I would extend the tongue on the trailer, that being said, I have the same trailer and went to the local farm store and found I could buy an end that would fit in the tongue that accepts a ball. If you really want an extension go on the web to Northern Tool & Hydraulic, they are located in Minnesota and in the fall and winter book they are showing several up to 18 inches long.
