Rancher?

I've been wanting a utility for a long time(never had one). All the different models are confusing me a bit not knowing anything about them.
What rancher offers select 2/4wd, irs, power steering, all wheel desent braking. Looking to stay in the midsize quad 350/420

The TRX420FPA is your match. It has power steering, IRS, and and auto/manual tranny. Also, on the 420s, they are 2wd/4wd selctable with a knob on the left side of the tank. Here is the link to Honda's website so you can see the available options on this machine. Its commonly referred to as the Fourtrax/Rancher 420 AT. Hope this helps!

Yep, if you want power steering and selectable 2wd/4wd, then you're limited to the 420 Rancher. The 350 Rancher has neither. And not all of the 420s have power steering.....you can get them with or without the power steering.

Most 4-wheeler problems are caused by a loose nut connecting the handlebars and the seat!!

You only need two tools in life -- WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

Thanks Bobs, that was very helpful. The rancher comes a lot of different ways. The 420fpa is a really, really, really nice quad, looks like I'll be wanting one for a while longer. lol

not a belt drive.
it's a 5 speed auto trans.
The 420at isnt geared as low as the sra models...and won't turn larger tires as well...but a sra gear swap will fix that(mine will be getting this done this winter)

No honda quads are belt drive. They are all either hydraulic, or geared. The 420 has alot or power, and is a very good trail quad. The 4wd is easy to engage/disengage. Theyre a really good choice.

All4: To get 2/4WD, Auto/Manual(ES) Shift, Independent Rear Suspension, Increased ground clearance, and power steering, the Rancher 420AT is the machine. It's probably one of the very best all-around, most versitile machines made.

I would recommend the rubicon trail edition and if memory serves the 2012/13 models now have power steering. It's a hydrostatic drive with automatic shifting but it does allow you to shift manually. I would recommend the solid rear axle version of the rancher if you are going to work a-lot.
