Is Power Steering Worth It??>

I Have a 08 Rancher 420 4x4 ES now but have an oppurtunity to sell it and buy An 09 white one looks just as good as mine but has power steering. My question is would the power steering itself make it worth selling mine and buying it?? I think it would and mine and it both have only a lil over 1000 miles. \

I'm a firm believer in the PS now. When I bought mine, I didn't think it would make much of a difference with me. But I don't ever plan on having another atv / sxs without PS. We have an annual ride every year that is about 16 miles. That ride used to wear me out. Since riding with my current bike, I could ride twice that without the fatigue.

Don't have it but next machine will. Haven't heard anyone with PS want to go back. Downfall is the cost to repair - $800 or so.

I was a firm believer in it after riding the foreman in my profile pic. Each tire weighed 55lb a peice without a wheel on them, and it steered easy, i was surprised.

I don't need it, and I used to rag on those who did get it. But the truth is, If my Rincon came with that option I would have looked into getting it. But it didn't, and they still do not.

The Rancher steers very easily without it,,,even in 4wd you can steer with one hand,,,but the best thing about PS is that it acts as a steering damper, and the bars don't get ripped out of your hands nearly as easily as a machine without it. I have a wrist that still acts up from the bars getting pulled out of my hands unexpectedly on my non PS Rancher when i bumped the edge of a rock in the tall grass. Dual A-arm front ends will pull the bars out of your hands more than a machine that has struts on the front of it believe it or not, just because of the design, and you would benefit from having it if you could,,just for safety reasons if nothing else.

Get it, get it, get it. I love my ps soooo much. Ya the ranchers are an easy machine to control its just really nice to ride the whole day with one hand on the bars and one on a beer.
