1996 Fourtrax 200 type II

I picked up a Honda Fourtrax 200 type II for my son tonight. Weird looking little 4 wheeler but it runs fantastic, is still in great shape with ever thing working and the price was just right at $600. It will end up needing a set of tires before the summer is out but that's ok. I've never seen one of these in person and don't know much on their history as far as maintenance needed and how tuff they might be but hope to learn that researching here. Any hints on these type II's will be helpful. I'll wash it tomorrow and post some pictures then.

Yeah, they're weird looking, but they're great little quads.

Most 4-wheeler problems are caused by a loose nut connecting the handlebars and the seat!!

You only need two tools in life -- WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

Pics are always good,yessssss... They're pretty tough, almost TRX300,and TRX350D tough...Change every fluid in it with the correct type, and amount, new filters, new spark plug, rotate the air in the tires, repair the brakes, and make sure the battery is up to snuff, add fresh non ethanol gas,and ride it til the new tires arrive

Am I correct in that this quad does NOT have a oil filter to change. I read about the oil screen but Im not needing to take the right side off just for that.

Any body have a link to a service manual? Don't give up.on pictures, there coming.

I think the TRX200D/Type II is about the only model that we don't have a service manual for in the manuals/schematics section of the forums. Maybe another member will have it and will upload it and share it with you.
