01 Rancher Fan not engaging

Hello,

the fan on my Rancher does not come on, the atv will overheat and shut down instead of the fan coming on and cooling it. wondering if there is a sensor that may be bad, or if it is simply a bad fan, has anyone experienced this?

Try hooking direct power to the fan. If it turns on its a bad sensor.

my sons has the same problem,kinda,it will kick on,but it takes a while.he rides more agressive than i do,and mines on and his isnt.if any1 knows plz help,lol.

I would think a bad sending unit and or temp sensor. Could be a dirty conection or bad ground as well.
