91 honda fourtrax 300 4by4

I have a 91 Honda fourtrax 300 4by4 and I'm changing the rear brakes but I'm trying to figure out what is the purpose of the ring that sits inside the drum any help would surely be appreciated THANKS

If you're talking about the split ring that goes around the lip of the drum, it is to eliminate brake squeal. It's a vibration damper ring.

i have a question about my honda fourtrax.... i have a 1999 fourtrax head but my fourwheeler is a 94 will it still fit??? plz help me.

it is 2wd the 1999 head came off of a 2wd also will it still work?

I believe it is the same motor, let me check for sure. If Helmut or shadetree were here, they could tell you 100% certainty.

Yep, same part number for 94-99 4x4 and 4x2.
