I'm curious to find out how the 4x4 Rancher drives and steers in 2 wheel drive mode... compared to Honda's 4x2 Rancher.

For pulling and utility work, get the rancher, in 4x4 you never know when you may encounter something. Besides it helps the towing capabilities. If you want fun and all, get the recon. I have a recon and it's never let me down, besides the front brakes lol. I've seen a recon pull a 16' trailer before, but the disadvantage is the recon is light. If you hook up to something heavy and get going then hit a bump, the front end will come up and you'll have to slow down or stop. I say go with the rancher for 4x4 for the utility work and you can still do a stunt on a rancher!!!

This thread is like 2.5 years old. Wonder which quad Cliff went with?

Both are good machines. Highly recommend the manual shift on both models.
