considering parting out a fourtrax trx 300

I am trying to decide whether to part out a 94 trx 300 or do a little work to get it back up and running. Question is how much would the frame and motor go for. Assuming the frame is straight and free of repairs and the motor could be strong with a little work. Would have to work out shipping on both. Thanks in advance.'

OK guys and gals I did decide to part this 300 out. Here is what is already gone -
all plastics
rear end including axle, diff, brakes.
front brake master
dash
seat
thumb throttle and cable
muffler and heat shield
wheels and tires
on off choke switch
I think that is all that's gone

Everything else is available
Some prices-
front headlight assembly, mounting hardware, wiring, etc 35
output/side gear 65
oem starter bench tested 40
rear drive shaft with joint 50
rear hubs with lugs 25 apiece
front brake assemblies, drums, & knuckles(needs ball) 50
All prices include standard shipping. I have some of this stuff listed on ebay as well. I will accept returns if it doesn't meet your expectations.
everything else is there as well. Just don't have as much time as I would like to dig into it. Everything looks good on the motor so far. It may take me a week or so to get it apart as I am working and being a dad too much.
Shoot me a PM with other questions. If you would include your phone number or email on your PM i could shoot you a test or email with a pic of what you're interested in.

I would look at engines and frames on Ebay and that should give you an idea or starting point on pricing them.

Most 4-wheeler problems are caused by a loose nut connecting the handlebars and the seat!!

You only need two tools in life -- WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

You should be able to sell a good running, and working engine on feeBay,or Craigslist (especially using a video) for up to 600bux as I've seen em go for that often on feeBay,and have sold a couple for that locally on CL for 5 bills...As to the frame,I have yet to see one sold on feeBay as they sit there, and don;t sell due to their size, cost of shipping, were made for so many years, and are usually not too difficult to find locally...Were it mine, and in decent running condition,I'd tear it down, rebuild whatever was wrong with it,polish it n paint it up,and ride it,or have it for others to ride, and enjoy...

if all of the running gear and plastics are good you could get upwards of $1500 for it parted out on ebay.

Thanks guys. If I part it out I'll give guys here an opportunity before I take the e-bay route/craigslist. I bought 2 1994's. 1 4wd 1 2wd. I was told that both were running about a year ago and have just been sitting for a year or so. Hopefully everything is good on both of them. They're both blue. I got them for a good deal so it'll just be a bonus if the engines or good on em both.

If you can get both of them running, and looking good in blue, then you can get all the money you spent for both back outta selling one of them(upwards of 2 grand, and the 2wd gets my vote for selling)...

Red Chevy - Don't have the floor boards.
Mudking - The plastics are just OK with the exception of the front fender. The front was cracked and stitched together. All of the guards, flares, front grill, storage cover, lights, etc are there. They are on a 94. PM me if you're still interested and I'll send you some detailed pics. I believe the rear also has a small piece missing on the front around the foot peg.
