I think i'll save 700 or 800 bucks..or more ?, and keep using my old Coleman cooler, for what I paid for it ?, I can keep stocking it with '' cold '' ones for many years to come !.lmao. I just don't see paying that kinda money on a name ?, not when my Coleman can keep my stuff just as cold ?, maybe not as long ?, but still cold !..lol.

Is ice really THAT expensive that you have to keep the same batch for 5 flippin' days???
For the difference in the price of a Coleman vs. a Yeti or Samsquanch or Orca whatever, I can buy a LOT of brand new ice. Plus, if it gets stolen or broken, so what? A new one won't cost me 3 HUNDRED dollars or more. Maybe I'm just out of touch?

The thing about keeping it longer is if your in the middle of no where and can't get ice. We have a couple yeti coolers and love them. That being said we usually go hunting in places that take a full day sometimes two by quad to get in to so keeping ice for an extended period of time is pretty important if you don't want spoiled meet. But for the day trips or close to the corner store trips there really is no point. But they do have there place just like anything else

I could see buying one if I lived away from civilization for brief periods of time. (Hunting trip etc...). But the cheap bass-turd side of me will use my Walmart cooler until it breaks. Then I will either duct tape it or buy a new Walmart special. But, to each his/her own and if one of my buddies buys one, I would be happy to allow my beverage to hitch a ride in it.

now that is funny --------------- what would be even funnier is me strapping that styrofoam Yeti to my rack , there would be styrofoam and beverages all over the place --------

You can buy a Coleman Extreme 5 day cooler for a whopping $23 and it will hold ice for 5 days as well as that Yeti. I have one and used it camping plenty and it does work. Put a frozen gallon jug or two in the bottom first before you load it.
