I have a 2008 Honda Foreman 500 ES...Is it possible to put power steering on this bike, and if so what would be the approx cost?

cheers

I couldn't tell you the answer to that since i'm not familier with the power sreering. but I would say it's possible with the right amount of money threw at it.

I have no idea if it's possible, but I have a 2010 Rancher with Powersteering and love it, I can ride all day without getting worn out, and you don't feel every little bump or hole in the road or trail.

I have an 08 with PS and there is an indicator/error light on the console and I'm sure there is also special firmware for the control unit.

Is it possible to add it? Most likely. Is it easy or cost effective? Most likely not.

I agree it would probably be cheaper in the long run to fine a used one and sell yours, or trade it in on a new one.

I agree. I wouldn't even attempt to add it. A lot easier just to sell and buy one with power steering.

Most 4-wheeler problems are caused by a loose nut connecting the handlebars and the seat!!

You only need two tools in life -- WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

Is power steering really that great though? I can ride my quads all day with getting tired, not bragging or anything, just saying I don't see how they would really be that great. I talked to a suzuki guy at a dealer expo, and he said that suzuki had to make the kingquads handle worse, just to make the power steering work correctly, so people wouldn't be oversteering them and crashing.

Everyone is different.

For me, I notice a huge difference. PS is great and I will never own another machine without it. I had an 04 foreman and this 08, and the 08 with power steering is just night and day over the 04.

Im with you JB my 09 rancher doesnt have power steering and I cant honestly say that I would ever get one with. I feel that the less electronic components and parts the easier maintenance. Not dogging the PS cause Im sure its super easy to steer, but on the trails and stuff I usually handle the turns pretty well. just my oppinion though!
