my is300 (car) back fires lol... i wouldn't say it is. its normal if you have an exhaust... but could also mean your carbs not adjusted right

It's definitely exhaust backfire, i am almost positive that it's too rich, because when it is idling then i rev it real quick very little black smoke comes out of it, but it's a fresh rebuild and its been jetted, and i also have a new slip on (pro circuit t4)

If it only backfires on decel then you'll need to fatten up the idle mixture.Your main jet may be a little rich if it is blowing black smoke.

Garage
if you remove the arrestor and it backfires it's probably too lean, back the fuel screw out 1/4-1/2 turn. What jets are you running?
