Question slip on exhuast (DG vs new big gun eco)????

hey, been a while since if been on here, i got rid of my 250x n got a 03 400ex.

Iv been looking to get an after market slip on exhuast and was looking for some feed back. The 2 pipes im looking at are DG r or o series and the new big gun eco. I want a nice low bassy tone with the performce of course.

DG stands for don't get! As far as big gun, never had any experiance with them.
My 400EX has a HMF exhaust. I like it alot.

DG is garbage, and the new big gun looks great. however i havent tried a big gun slip on before. i know if you want low bassy sound output, you should also look into getting a Lexx slip-on from RMATV, or ebay (usually about $10-$20 cheaper) they come with a quiet core for lower sound output, or remove it for a louder exhaust. good quality pipe

I have never seen anyone recommend a DG exhaust on any of the forums I have visited. So if that tells you anything. Also, pay close attention to these 2 exhausts, and compare them to the HMF. If you notice, these 2 other pipes stick out further than the HMF. If you like doing wheelies or you ever drop the rear on its tail, the DG and Big Gun might damage before the HMF will. I have seen the FMF stick out past the rear grab bar. Can anyone else explain this or have experience with them? As far as DG, I do see them out riding, and I think the sound is terrible:

UPDATE: I just looked at the DG again, and it looks like it does not stick out any further than the HMF.

Very helpful thread. I was seriously considering a DG. Think I'll go with a Lexx for price and sound.
