1948 Dodge Power wagon.

What do you guys think about a 65 year old truck for a daily driver, I always wanted one. A 1948 dodge power wagon.

This is the rough estimate of the image. I'd like to hear what you'd have to say as far as pros and cons, please be honest.

Vintage power wagons has the parts, new nos used, and break down more often What do ya mean? And stiff ride my old 1944 Willys jeep is about as stiff as ya can get. The 1 useful thing I would do is switch it over to 12 volt.

I would love to have an old Power Wagon with 94-02 Dodge 2500 drivetrain and a 3.9L or 4.5L Cummins.

Or maybe a brand new Jeep Wrangler with an AEV Brute conversion with a 4.5L Cummins. They kind of look old school but it would be modern underneath and inside.

agreed! I wouldn't take a classic old piece of steel like that and basterdize it with new parts , something like that you are gonna want to cherish and treat it like the grandfather that it is , not as old but I have a 1977 ford f250 and it is 100% stock and it is going to fade into the dust that way many years from now , I think that if you can keep the mechanical up on the old boy, and don't ratbag it (save that for the Honda) you could get another 75 years out of it, up here in bc it is hard to find old stuff in good shape because of the salt they use on the roads , it just rots everything !

Whats the fuel mileage on the old dog JD?

I think it'd be cool to see, but most of my friends that had antiques as daily drivers only kept them a few years. They weren't practical and our winters would destroy them... Better off (at least for us) to let a collector or someone with a place to store them during the winter enjoy them...
