Cooling system......
Just an observation but I never see anyone ask about having problems, flushing, braking or just curious about the liquid cooled 420's and other hondas...
I cant download the manuels here at work but when should you change/flush your system??

Depending on how you ride, I'd go with every winter. If you ride lots of mud, then I'd say every other month. But I have a habit of doing overkill maitenance

Pretty much the same as a car Chef, what wears out is the corrosion protection not the freeze resistance or increased boiling point properties. Don't have the manuals handy but I suspect it's 2 years. Now they have the 5 year antifreeze I use that. Again it's the rust/corrosion prevention that's important.

Just looked in owners manual and all its says is ispect every regular service and have dealer replace if you are a numbskull. But most of us can replace it without a problem.

I've never messed with a cooling system before, but I was reading in my manual I will have to jack the front end up to refill the system then burp it... Maybe your service manual will have a similar procedure?

For the 420 all you have to do is remove a drain bolt on the water pump, and pull the burp tank off the back and drain, rinse it out and put it back on and reinstall drain plug. Then start refilling radiator, then start it and let it burp out the air till its full and then fill the expansion tank and your done. Also just an fyi, if you pull the thermostat to check it, its supposed to open at 176-183 F.
