HR Screwed up!!

So while I was in HR this morning terminating a cook the payroll lady pulled me to the side and appologized because I had been accruing my PTO (vacation days) at the wrong rate for the last 106 pay periods!!!!! I picked up 75.1 hours of PTO!!!!!

Now I just need to find the time to take the 8 weeks of PTO that I currently have in my bank!!!

75 hours? Thats almost as much vacation time I get during the year! And I can't accumulate vacations hours unless I don't miss any time for a whole quarter, and that ain't worth it, lol.

I hit my max PTO at my work before I retired again. It was GREAT they had to let me take PTO every qtr or pay me BIG $$$. I already had every other Friday off so I ended up taking every Friday off. Got a real nice check when I left too. 360 hrs PTO sell back.

Working for the state, they cap us at 400hrs. I'm at 206 in the 6 years I've worked there. Biggest thing is though, you can't use it half the time because there are not enough employees to cover your time off, and the other half of the time, the days that you want off go to someone who has more seniority...

Most company DO pay what is on the books, PTO included. Federal(US) law for companies with more than certain number of employ's. Don't remember #.
