If you are looking for dependable, I would get a foot shift, because I think they are more dependable. Some people will say the electric shift is just as dependable if you do regular maintenance on them, but that can't be true, because they will eventually go out, anyway. Everyone I know that has the electric shift has had problems at one time or another. Even if your battery gets low for some reason, you will have problems with it. I don't even like driving one with the electric shift. That's just my opinion, though. You may like them. I would stay away from the Rubicon models, because I have heard of a lot of problems with the transmission. The Rubicon is also a Foreman, but with a different transmission. I would just get the Foreman 500 with foot shift, especially if you are going to be pulling with it.

I like the disc brakes, also, but the front disc/rear drum setup on the Foreman 500 works great. It's hard to beat a Foreman.
